Farm Assistant: 5 openings
During the growing season, the program assistant will aid staff to fulfill farm box orders for the City Fresh farm box program by sorting, counting, and repackaging shares on Fresh Stop Days (T, W, Th, F) . They will also help clean up, store, and maintain the packing facilities, cooler, and transport vehicles. During the off-season, program assistance may consist of both facilities support and project support for either site-specific projects at George Jones Farm or light office work for the City Fresh farm box program. Students should be able to work independently and efficiently, and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines with successful completion of work.
Desired skills: Teamwork and collaboration, critical thinking/problem solving, digital technology, clear communication.
Students need to have transportation to site and be able to lift 20+ pounds. Work can be dirty, outdoors. Weather appropriate attire necessary.
This is a Federal Work-Study job that pays $13.00/hr
