OberlinKids is a kindergarten readiness collaborative made up of over 30 partner organizations that have come together to develop solutions to ensure all children in Oberlin enter school healthy and ready to learn. Our programming targets families with children from birth to five. One of the best ways to volunteer for OberlinKids is to help the facilitator in the OberlinKids Community Classroom located inside the Oberlin Engagement & Activities Center (36 S. Prospect St., Oberlin). We offer daily drop-in playgroups for families to come and learn through play with their children and to meet other families with young children. If you have a special skill, play an instrument, or have age-appropriate interests you would be willing to share with children and families please reach out to discuss your ideas. Other volunteer opportunities vary including assisting at community events, creating marketing materials and resource sheets using Canva or other programs, social media marketing support, and other opportunities. If you are interested in volunteering for OberlinKids please contact Jenn Keathley at jkeathley@oberlinkids.org.
