Candidate will work closely with INTO team to acquire background knowledge regarding INTO’s work with 8 family workshops in Ecuador. Candidate will spend time researching the fair-trade movement and how fair-trade retailers educate their customer and community base through different events. Candidate will plan various in-store and/or online events/campaigns to increase traffic to both retail location and online website as well as educate the public about fair trade. Events may be organized around such celebrations as Fair Trade Month, December holidays, Women’s History Month, World Fair Trade Day, Second Saturdays in Oberlin and more.
Desired qualifications: Must be willing to handle project management with various details and deadlines. Must also be creative and willing to work within the framework of our organization’s team. The candidate will interface with other entities in the community to best promote the event. They must be willing to network and build partnerships. They must be passionate about educating the public regarding INTO’s partner artisans, Fair Trade and sustainable business.
Hourly wage: $13.00/hr, this is a Federal Work-Study position
