The Gallery Assistant will be responsible to greet visitors and monitor FAVA’s exhibit galleries. The position will require knowledge of current and upcoming exhibits in an effort to answer visitor questions and to respond to phone inquiries. The assistant will be responsible to keep the gallery areas clean and welcoming. They may be asked to perform other office duties as needed including filing, mailing, and data entry. This position requires evening and weekend hours and to open/close the facility as needed.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to listen, be attentive to visitors to the gallery, operate a desktop computer, sit or stand, lift up to 20 pounds.
Hours: Thurs & Fri 5-8pm, Sat 11am-5pm, Sun 1-5pm
This is a Federal Work-Study position that pays $12/hr. Approximately 4-12 hours per week.
