This is a Community Based Work-Study position.  Only students with Federal Work Study are eligible to apply. If you have questions about your eligibility, please email mbrito@oberlin.edu. Students must complete the CBWSP application before beginning work.


Content Creator Intern, 1 position. Intern will create 10-20 postings to be used over the coming year by Wilson Bruce Evans Home Historical Society, a small nonprofit now rehabilitating 33 East Vine Street, Oberlin, home built beginning in 1850s by African American abolitionist and Underground Railroad operative; when rehabiliation is complete, building will open to the public as museum and educational center.. Postings will feature content from Evans HHS website and other relevant historical materials, linked to our events and progress of rehabilitation when possible. Executive Director will introduce intern to relevant materials. Supervision will be shared by Executive Director (on site in Oberlin) and Social Media Committee Chair. Intern will be required to do research on computer, and may occasionally make visits to Oberlin College Archives and/or Oberlin Heritage Center. Intern should be able to read hard copy documents, including documents written in cursive. Intern will be expected to create text and visual content.


Pays $15 an hour
